ACC Football Officials Mini-Clinic Scheduled for Saturday, Dec. 3rd

Officials Will Receive Career Instruction, as well as Gift Certificate, Gear and Game Ticket to 2011 Dr Pepper ACC Football Championship Game
Charlotte, N.C. –The Atlantic Coast Conference will hold its annual Football Officials’ Mini-Clinic on Saturday, December 3, 2011 from 3 p.m. until 6 p.m. at the Charlotte Convention Center. The event, which focuses on youth, high school and college officiating, will cover topics such as technique, communications, career development, health and officiating technology.
Partnering with USA Football, Arbiter Sports and Honig’s Whistle Stop, the ACC will bring in its football officials to instruct and guide participants in several key areas of officiating. In addition, there will be special video breakout sessions by position.
"Our officiating staff is putting together a dynamic agenda that provides attendees with the highest caliber of relevant, nationally accepted and video based information related to officiating in a condensed and interactive forum," said ACC Football Officiating Coordinator Doug Rhoads.
Included in the $40 registration fee is admission to the Mini-Clinic, as well as a ticket to the Dr Pepper ACC Football Championship. Participants will also receive a USA Football Officiating Membership, NCAA football hat, pre and post clinic meals, and a gift certificate from Honig’s Whistle Stop.
